Lucy The Poodle Productions is back with another great showcase tonight. It's hard to find a more enthusiastic and thorough bunch of party promoters in town than Lucy. Their recent resume includes noche de los muertos at Beauty Bar, Pink Floyd tribute night at Club de Ville, and the annual circus party at Carousel Lounge. Tonight, the Continental Club on South Congress hosts Lucy's retro revival with rockabilly rebels Jungle Rockers and mod party band The Ugly Beats. The show starts at 9:30 with '60s pop-rockers The Hi-Tones. Cover charge is $8. View the listing on Do512 here.

Also tonight, dance-punk outfit Zlam Dunk play their first Hole in the Wall show ever. It was only a matter of time. I've seen these guys play Emo's, Mohawk, and even Dirty Dog on Sixth Street. Hole in the Wall is a rite of passage for all Austin rock bands. Zlam Dunk play at 11. The Deaf Ears, who I gave a glowing album review, play at 10. Wiretree opens the show at 9. Stoner-rock alternative band Oak is Keeping closes the show at Midnight. Cover is a tiny $3. More info at Do512 here.

I was in town visiting some clients... People were telling me about this place! I couldn't make it and I'm very upset. Cool vids though. Cheers.
