Tonight: Red Leaves @ Emo's

Red Leaves at EmosRed Leaves, a Red River indie-rock staple, recently went through a lineup change. Core members Singer Mayberry (bass/vox) and David Lujan (guitar/bass) added a new drummer in Dorian Colbert and a second bassist, Marcos Lujan. Yep. You read that right: a second bass player. I don't think I've ever seen that. I've seen bands pull off two drummers before; local sextet Haunting Oboe Music uses two drummers, as does the LA-based psychedelic band The Warlocks (who play at The Parish tomorrow). Check out the YouTube video below. I filmed this lineup's debut back in May. They've since played a ton of shows and I'm anxious to see how they sound after a summer of hard work and lots of shows. Garage-rockers Wine & Revolution, who recently returned from touring, headline. Visit Red Leaves on MySpace and check out the rest of the bill on Do512.
