Austin Vida: Myrna Cabello [review]

Myrna Letting GoActress, singer, and native-Austinite Myrna Cabello began recording her debut album in the spring of 2007, when the unexpected happened: She developed Bell’s Palsy, a type of paralysis, on the right side of her face. This news left Myrna devastated, as she wondered if she would be able to continue to pursue her passion for singing. She didn’t give up on her music and resumed recording a year later. The result is the album Letting Go, a title that on the surface refers to relationship troubles, but a title that can also be taken as a lesson for dealing with the emotional woes of coping with illness and unforeseen circumstances.
