Episode#25: Naked Empire

nites25Naked Empire received quite a bit of local media attention in 2008 for their grand spectacle of a live show (fog machines, flashing lights, and songs filled with angsty shouting and serene classical piano lines) and a debut album that complimented the epicness. These guys are unapologetic for their love of grand gestures, leading INsite Magazine owner/editor Sean Claes to call their debut Bottomfeeders "an epic rock opera" and KLBJ radio personality Loris Lowe to call Naked Empire "a band that understands composition, arrangement, orchestration, and my favorite, dynamics". It is nice to see a band put effort into their overall live presentation. That's one surefire way to win over us videographers and photographers.
